Musicians, even the successful ones, can find it challenging to figure out what to do with their creative product. In 2017 there are hundreds of different ways for tracks to reach audiences, but from the East African perspective, rarely do these materialize into significant exposure or financial benefit.
In some ways it doesn’t matter what or which distribution channel is selected, because none work well without marketing and promotion. Money, expertise and resource for campaigns around releases are often the most challenging thing for the independent artist and record labels alike, and where the monetisation of product generally fail.
BUILDING WINNING RELATIONSHIPS
At ADA we are building relationships all along this value chain, from distribution, to marketing expertise, to venue and press. As a publisher, ADA Records, aims to add this value to all the artists we work with.
OUR SECOND RELEASE
Our most recent addition to ADA Records is a new release from the legendary Cameroonian artist Franck Biyong with his latest Afrolectric album. As publisher on this album, we are distributing this through Africori, our global distribution partner, and the release date is set for June 2nd, which we will be marking with a full-on launch party at Tree House.
FRANK BIYONG LAUNCH PARTY
What we aim to do with the artists who come to us, the ones we love, is to put some welly behind their hard work. To get that creative product out there in the most professional way we can; at ADA we are building a team and relationships which can do that. We appreciate Francks faith in us as move forward with this our second release on ADA Records.
